Lori Verschoor

After retiring in 2006, Lori (aka Neta) and her husband spent the winters in Arizona. There, she was introduced to stained glass and mosaics.

Experimenting with stained glass became her new passion. She taught classes, managed the resort's 'glass' room, and tried out new techniques by adding mixed media to her work. She creates an image in her head and brings her art to life by focusing on textures and colours. Her work is unique and hangs in many households across North America. When Covid hit and stained glass was difficult to acquire, she began to paint with oil.

Lori’s love of wildlife plays a dominant role in her realistic art, striving to portray emotion in her subjects. She has been commissioned by many to paint a portrait of their cherished pets. She joined the Visual Arts of Welland and has enjoined working and learning with the many talented artists.
