Tina Clancy

Tina works out of her home studio in Milton, Ontario to create paintings alive with movement, colour, and expression.

Informed by memories of what she has seen, sensed, experienced, and wondered, Tina paints intuitively and imaginatively.

A series of events led her to the notion that paint and canvas can be the source of expression of a painting, only a helping hand is needed. Drawn to this unusual call, she has used a variety of approaches to tease out and reveal these expressions – as images or non-images, in scenes of colour, mood, and moment.

She has had the good fortune to study with skilled instructors, all of whom have expanded her understanding of, and practice with, different techniques and methods, including layering, glazing, paper and mixed media collage, dispersion, all manners of brushwork, encaustics, and pour painting on paper and canvas.  Since 2013, she has shown her work regularly throughout Milton, Hamilton, Toronto, and the Niagara Region.
