Brittany is a multifaceted artist who currently specializes in graphic design; however, avidly creating visual arts using various mediums from acrylic paint, pastels, to linoleum printmaking. She has a unique contemporary style with clear inspiration from abstract expression and pop art. She prefers hard crisp lines that turn her work into stylistic renditions of reality. She also practices photography regularly and uses various editing softwares to enhance her photographs.
Having studied art history at Carleton University, her work is informed by theory and historical references. She was the creator and director of the only visual arts group at Carleton (VAC) and wrote avidly as an arts journalist in Ottawa reviewing several exhibitions (published in newspapers and through art galleries). She interned at CARFAC and was an active member and volunteer at Gallery 101 keeping in line with her strong passion for artist run organizations. She is currently working towards a diploma in Graphic Design at Niagara College with hopes to enter into advertising or book design. She practices her craft every day and looks for ways to be creative in everything she does.
