Cris Delara is a professional portraitist, member of the Portrait Society of America, illustrator and pinup artist who works in traditional and digital media. Her drawings and artworks in black and white, using mainly graphite and charcoal is superb with an expertise in figure and people, human anatomy (female figure).
She is a former instructor from CGSociety where she taught: Painting Perfect Pinups and Cheesecake Girls.
Cris is also a part time teacher at Niagara College (Continuing Education).
She is internationally published in several 2D/3D specialized books, magazines and websites over the web, such as ImagineFX, 2dartist magazine, Expose, Exotique, Digital Painting Techniques, D’artist Digital Painting.
As independent illustrator/artist, for many years, Cris has been working in Comics, games, publishing and advertising industry. She has worked for Fantasy Flight Games, Idle Games, PlayStation Network (Sony), DeNaCo and other video game studios.
As illustrator/character designer she has worked in toys industry in projects for licensing agencies, The Toon Studio of Beverly Hills, Hasbro and Mattel. In Comics, Cris has worked as colorist, and penciler/inker for small publishers.
Currently, she is comic book cover artist for Zenescope Entertainment.
Despite all her previous experience, Cris has decided to work as independent artist and has opened her own art studio/school in Welland.
She works by commissioning. She does original art (drawing and paintings) for sale and she teaches/mentors black and white techniques to students and artists who want to improve their artistic skills.
