My interest in sketching and painting in artistic design started over fifty years ago while living in Toronto. In the late 1960's we moved back to St.Catharines at which time painting became very serious for me.
Early works were created in sketching and painting using oil paints. I was blessed with inspiring teachers who helped me to experiment with different approaches in colour pallets. In 2014 I was encouraged to transition into acrylic paints. I always have been looking for different approaches to execute my paintings.
I have recently branched out using larger canvases and have formed a technique that makes the painting appear translucent and more delicate to the viewer.
I am an active member of the St.Catharines Art Association and the Visual Artists of Welland.
During the SCAA's 2017 "Art Lover's Affair", hosted by Hernder's Estate Winery, one of my paintings was chosen for the evening gala live auction and was sold.
My paintings have been in several shows and exhibits, retail outlets, restaurants, and wineries throughout the Niagara Region.
