As part of their recovery journey from a number of physical and mental health issues, David Koert aka Dvita rediscovered their talents and passion for creativity through artistic endeavours, both audio and visually. 

 They were born and raised in SW Ontario and now live in Welland. They draw inspiration from the healing energy of nature, the universe and they process emotions and feelings of the past, present and future, through their work in a cathartic manner. 

 Their visual artwork is primarily done using various acrylics, implementing creative paint application techniques and vibrant colours. The Cosmos, Chakras, and meditative visions are expressed in their work, as part of a therapeutic process on their healing journey. Their photography focuses on the beauty of nature in all seasons across Ontario and North America aka Turtle Island.

 They have lead workshops at Humber College and other groups on the value of arts as part of mental health and addictions recovery, and their work is on display at many of the places they have both received care and helped others and in many homes.
