In 1968, my family settled in the Niagara Region, and while living in Niagara Falls I showed an interest in art. Keeping busy with a young family and work, I never had time to join the local art scene, so it was only after I retired in 2007 I decided to pursue art as a hobby. I participated in lessons, mostly online, and attended classes organized by the Pelham Art Association. In 2020, I became a member of the Visual Artists of Welland and now paint from my home studies using acrylics on canvas and boards. I paint most subjects, but have a preference for the traditional style, particularly still life and urban scenes with architectural features. During recent years, most of the paintings have been commissions, although I do keep an inventory of paintings for sale.
